Ice Storm; Tulsa, December 2007

Despite the devastation wrought by the recent storm, these photos show some of the beauty brought by the freezing rain. (All photos copyright by Dave Miller).

Great work, Ornery,

Way-hey - I'm the first person to comment. Now that's a distinction I'll treasure.

Welcome to Blogland, mate. I know you're not the sort of bloke to write 1000 words at the drop of a hat, but as I've shown so many bloggers, this is a visual medium as well.

That's why it's so great to see your work. Lovely picture essay. My favourites (OK, so you're twisting my arm!!) are the close-ups of the frost and of course picture #6, which is just spectacular.

I started writing this comment 90 minutes ago, then we had visitors come over, so I've just got back to completing the comment!!!!

Great to see your fotprint in Blogland. More power to you.

Cheers

David

Number 6 is also my favorite. It has a different feeling to it, since the plant is still green, yet encased in an icy coat.

I am very excited that you have decided to join in the fun of blogging, and I can't wait to see what wonders you will produce for us all to enjoy!

Thanks for visiting David, and for encouraging me to create a blog! Had it not been for your kind, encouraging comments, I likely would have waited quite awhile longer to get started in blogland.

Thanks,
Ornery

Lets zoom in on a snowflake and find out once and for all...are they really all different? Now don't be so ornery...I want to know.

How can something be so beautiful and yet so devastating?
